The paperback (and Kindle) of my new book “50 Things You Wish You Knew About Love, Marriage, and Divorce” is now on Amazon!
Just three short months ago, I penned a post entitled The America That Once Was. In it, I wrote, "The country I knew when I was growing up (1950s and 60s) has so radically and profoundly changed that it is virtually unrecognizable. Things are now upside down, backward, and inside out. What was once considered wrong, immoral, or evil is now regarded by many as good, decent, and virtuous.”
Today, just twelve short weeks later, my post seems horribly outdated. I never thought I’d see these things during my lifetime... but I’ve seen them all since that post. Here’s what I mean…
Federal and city governments deliberately turn a blind eye to human trafficking, drug smuggling, and criminality at our border while Illegal immigrants are being treated better than veterans, the working poor, and people with disabilities.
A California “Woke Kindergarten” program that calls kids "little comrades" as part of a curriculum that teaches anti-police, anti-capitalism, and anti-Israel messages to advance pro-queer, and trans liberation propaganda.
The color of your skin is now more important than the content of your character.
“Pastors” who rely on showmanship, theatrics, and self-promotion rather than teaching the whole counsel of God.
National Geographic magazine, a once-respected publication, named drag queen Pattie Gonia as their Traveler of the Year “who as an artist and environmentalist is dedicated to introducing LGBTQ + youth to the wonders of the outdoors.” Are you kidding me?
“Churches” proud to sponsor God-mocking drag queen events or some even provide travel money for out-of-state transgender surgeries.
Disney movies that openly and aggressively promote homosexuality and perversion to children.
A president who is suffering from advanced dementia, so much so that he won’t be charged with wrongfully taking and distributing classified material because he is elderly and has a poor memory.
News reports about bad weather consistently blame those events on climate change and people deluded enough to believe them.
Cowardly, spineless males competing as women in sports events and the women who let them.
A manufactured pop goddess like Taylor Swift whose Eras tour is the subject of Sunday sermons. She exposes young girls to witchcraft in her “Willow” music video which includes occult worship.
An unlawfully elected presidential administration (regime) intentionally weaponizing artificial intelligence to censor millions of Americans online... while the mainstream media continually spews climate change, Planned Parenthood, and LGBTQ falsehoods.
A military that foolishly spends weeks training on diversity, equity, and inclusion instead of war.
Retail stores have to lock up merchandise because it’s OK in some cities to steal up to $950 worth of stuff... while parents who want to influence their children’s education are targeted as terrorists and criminals. All while real terrorists are coming across our southern border.
A female “pastor” who kicked the Bible like a football into the congregation on Super Bowl Sunday and people foolish enough to sit there and accept mocking the Word of God as “church”.
Transgenders holding high government positions while we are told we are hateful if we take issue with that which is an abomination before God.
Public schools and libraries intent on making pornographic material available to young children.
Pastors who say it is acceptable to go to a gay/trans wedding and give them a gift as well.
It all seems so out of control... with so many things going in the wrong direction. America is in trouble. The rate at which we are moving on the downgrade appears to be increasing daily. Yet no one seems to be doing anything about it... especially those who call themselves Republicans.
But there is hope... not in elections, government, or that things will somehow get better, but hope in Christ alone. If Christ is in our hearts and we repent, we will know that there is life beyond this imperfect earthly existence... an eternal life that will be glorious beyond all imagination.

I never thought I'd be here to witness this. Jesus has work for me to do. Right is wrong and wrong is right...go figure!
Great summation Jim. I have noticed a bit of light shining in the darkness. More and more people are noticing the things you pointed out. We were created to fulfil a place we have in His plan in the world. We need to demonstrate the courage our Christian ancestors had and make it right.
