It has become common-even fashionable-for charismatic leaders to feed needy souls a diet of fabrications rather than the sure Word of God rightly divided.

For their part, those who flock to the tents of false teachers are starved for hope and readily respond to messages of health and wealth tied to one's level of “faith."

Unfortunately for Furtick and the cohort of "word of faith" (name it, claim it) "teachers," and the many people they deceive with their message, the Gospel-the Good News of salvation throught Christ alone-has as an essential truth a gamut of experience concerning one's pursuit of godliness in Jesus:

"... that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead." —Philippians 3:10-11

The message of salvation is very good news considering the alternative (eternity w/o Christ in a Hell of unimaginable torment). But while on earth, there will be trials for Believers. That's life.

Earth is not Heaven. Don't let anyone mislead you into thinking that it is.
