Beware of the Boy Scouts

The AWFULs continue their destruction of America…

I consider the years I spent in the Boy Scouts an overwhelmingly positive time of my life. Growing up in the 1950s and early 60s, scouting taught me to respect God and my country.

We learned survival skills, boating safety, conservation, fishing, wilderness camping, swimming, and map reading skills. We were taught gun safety, first aid, manners, respect for others, American flag etiquette, and how to become responsible adult men.

We had lessons based on leadership, self-reliance, (not to be confused with relying on Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior), individual responsibility, and camaraderie.

We learned to stand at attention, salute our flag, and recite the Boy Scout oath...

“On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country; to obey the Scout

Law; to help other people at all times; and to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”

Our leaders were WWII and Korean War veterans who instilled in us a sense of personal discipline and respect for others.

But today, what the organization has become makes me want to puke…

The Boy Scouts have a sick history full of sexual abuse claims, promoting gay leadership and allowing girls to join and assume positions of leadership. They are now fully allowing the toxic narratives of DEI, The National Organization for Women (NOW), and LGBTQ advocates to poison the organization. The idea of striving to be morally straight has been kicked to the curb with a vengeance.

In their continuing attack on biblical manhood, it appears the Scout leadership’s new mission is to emasculate and denigrate young men so they will become cowardly, effeminate sissies who willingly kowtow to feminists, gays, and transgender bullies.  

The organization’s leadership (if you can call it that) has continued their betrayal of American boys by soon changing their name to “Scouting America” … removing the word “Boy” as if there were something wrong with it.

Membership in what’s left of the Boy Scouts peaked at five million in 1972. Today, that number (including newly admitted girls) has dropped by 80%.

The Scouting ship is sinking fast…

Their sure demise started when they began allowing gay members and gay leaders to join. Later, in 2017, they made the ill-considered decision that girls would be accepted as Cub Scouts and transgenders could enter their boys-only programs.

This blatant wokeness has destroyed the Boy Scouts.

Last year a federal judge upheld the $2.4 billion bankruptcy plan allowing the organization to keep operating while compensating more than 80,000 victims who filed claims saying they were sexually abused as children and teen scouts.

The Boy Scouts continue to actively undermine God-given gender roles. Wokesters, inside and outside of the organization, have rejected biblical values, attempting to shift power to women within scouting, families, and even churches.

Advocates of this destruction, most of whom are AWFULs, (Angry White Female Urban Liberals), see biblical values as paternalistic oppression. These AWFULs who call evil good and good evil, are hell-bent on annihilating anything good and pleasing to God. They have a profound disdain for honesty, morality, and the truth.

Now, if a scout wishes to achieve the rank of Eagle (the highest) it is required they earn the new Citizenship In Society merit badge... a collection of politically correct topics including identity, diversity, equity, equality, and inclusion designed to indoctrinate young people with woke leftist doctrine.

So much for building character…

(Sadly the GIRL SCOUTS may be even worse…)

How should we respond to this “new” Scouting America?

GET OUT If you or your children are in Scouts of America, withdraw today.

See that no one deceives you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not become partners with them; 8 for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 as you try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; 12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.

PRAY for all those intent on destroying what is good and promoting what is evil, that they confess and repent.

LOOK for an alternative like…

Trail Life USA is a Christian faith-based Scout-like organization providing youth mentorship and character development to boys in the United States. It is a conservative alternative for those who have left the Boy Scouts. As of early 2024, Trail Life has grown to over 60,000 members. The group does not accept gays. Focus on the Family and Governor Mike Huckabee both endorse the organization. Trail Life USA is a ministry partner of American Heritage Girls (AHG).
