This will be a short rant… I promise.
It seems as if the 2024 election has degenerated into a childish popularity contest. People either like or hate one or both of the candidates. But it's not about who one votes for; it's about what one votes for…
To be clear, if a person votes for the Democrats, or doesn’t vote at all, they effectively support:
Unlimited transgender surgery for minor children (involuntary sterilization)
The open importation of gangs, drugs, and human trafficking
The prosecution of pro-life advocates as violent extremists
Lawlessness, homelessness, and even more crime
Funding illegal immigrants with FEMA money rather than U.S. hurricane victims
Gun laws that leave law-abiding citizens defenseless against violent criminals
The continued abuse of Black Americans (including abortion mills in their neighborhoods)
Ending homeschooling and school choice
Increased hostility toward Christian values
Biological men in women’s restrooms, locker rooms, sports, and prisons
Continued animosity towards Israel
A vote for Republicans would be a vote for the opposite…
But the foolish among us, including many Catholics and Protestants say they have no choice but to take the moral high ground and to abstain from voting for either candidate. While acknowledging that a Democrat victory would likely be harmful to Christians, they say they cannot vote for Donald Trump because they don’t “like” him.
You have likely seen these numbers…Acording to some truly shocking statistics from George Barna at Arizona Christian University (ACU), as many as 41 million Christians plan to sit this election out. The research, conducted between August and September of this year, suggests that 41 million self-described born-again Christians are “unlikely” to vote in the November election.
Staying home is not the moral high ground. It is the back-handed approval of candidate(s) who would actively work against those who hold a Biblical worldview. Paul wrote this in his letter to the Romans…
“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” (Romans 1:28-32)
Pastor Gary Hamrick of Leesburg, Virginia sums it up this way…
“Let me tell you what happens when we are not involved in the political process. We open the door for every evil ideology to fill the vacuum. When we decide we’re going to check out, we’re not going to be involved, we’re not going to be politically engaged, all we do is open the door for more of the same evil agenda and ideology.”
Not voting against something is the same as approving of it.
If you have read this far and still want to stay home or worse, vote for the Democrat’s platform above, then I would pray that you would instead ignore the personalities and do what is right in the sight of God.

Amen. I would also add - shameless plug alert - that the Popularity Contest every four years is not the point. The day to day abuses and cancerous growth of the Federal Leviathan are what we need to focus on.
Messina's Federal Budget is the first book written about the Federal Budget for the widest audience possible. All the Political Class and the huge bureaucracy thrive on complexity. The more difficult they make it to understand how Americans are being taxed and where all that cash is going, the harder it is for an average American citizen to even understand why we're totally bankrupt.
This book for the first time not only describes the entirety of the cash sloshing around Washington, DC, but tells the reader how each department got its start, and why many of those branches of the Administrative State can and should be eliminated. Armed with this book, every American can speak directly to their Congressional "Representatives" to demand specific change.

What seems a simple choice is complicated by the choices of citizens. We know people who are ripe for conversion to conservatism that will not believe anything good about Trump nor anything bad about Harris. They have been brainwashed by the culture, media, schools, and the environment they grew up in. We try, in our Substack, to address these issues, but there's a lot of resistance. It will take a long time to re-educate people who've drank the Kool-Aid.
