Is This Really What America Has Come To?
Students Wearing Pro-life Beanies Kicked Out of Smithsonian Museum...
“Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth because they don’t want their illusions destroyed.” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)
A few days ago, Fox News reported the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum booted a dozen Catholic high school students and their chaperones for wearing beanies embroidered with a pro-life message.
Is this what we have come to in this country?
How hell-bent-for-leather are abortion supporters who would deliberately violate the students’ constitutional rights over a simple pro-life beanie?
On Jan. 20, students and chaperones from Our Lady of the Rosary School in Greenville, South Carolina, traveled to Washington, D.C., for this year’s National March for Life. The group members wore matching blue beanies with the words “Rosary PRO-LIFE.”
The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), representing the parents of some of the students involved, alleges that the museum staff mocked the students, shouted expletives, and claimed the museum was a “neutral zone” where political or religious messages were not allowed.
The first amendment protects our right to free speech without government interference. The Smithsonian is a federal entity that receives nearly $1 billion annually from the government. Perhaps the museum staff were ignorant of that fact... or they are so afraid of the truth they will go out of their way to rid it from their presence?
Hatred of truth is rapidly spreading around America with no sign of letting up any time soon. This rise of hated for truth in our country continues to be fueled by the mainstream news media, Hollywood celebrities, mass-market magazines, entertainers, politicians, social media influencers, and even some pro-abortion “Christian” churches that intend to deceive and manipulate people.
But it goes even deeper than that…
People who hate the truth do so because they hate God. They love themselves more than they love God and others. People who hate the truth want to be little “gods” themselves. They want to do what they want, when they want, to whomever they want, and to do it without restraint. When it comes to God’s laws and morality, many people want to decide for themselves what is right and wrong.
They refuse to believe that God has authority over their lives...
But sadly, belief in absolute truth has come to be seen by many as the ultimate sin of intolerance. In their minds, if there is no absolute truth, there is no absolute standard of right and wrong. Why? Because they do not want to be accountable to anyone, much less God, for their actions.
These days, not only do many people not want the truth, but they will denigrate anyone who attempts to tell them the truth. Truth is hate speech to those who hate the truth. Hating the truth long enough can cause one’s conscience to become misinformed and their heart to be hardened...
For the heart of this people has become dull, with their ears they scarcely hear, and they have closed their eyes, otherwise, they would see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their heart and return, and I would heal them. (Matthew 13:15)
In addition, it is good that the ACLJ is getting involved. They will go after the Smithsonian, which means the DOJ lawyers will defend which means essentially they are suing you and me who did nothing. They need to sue the two or more people who actually did this PERSONALLY, because they are the ones who violated the kids rights. THEN this nonsense will begin to stop.
USC 42 1983
Every person who, under color of any statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage, of any State or Territory or the District of Columbia, subjects, or causes to be subjected, any citizen of the United States or other person within the jurisdiction thereof to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution and laws, shall be liable to the party injured in an action at law, suit in equity, or other proper proceeding for redress,
I heard the story but did not know the details. Thanks for expanding it Jim. My first reaction was ENOUGH ALREADY! We keep backing up and they keep pushing us backward! Then I thought what does the Bible say about resistance to evil. This is what I found:
Ephesians 6:10-18 NKJV
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints
