The Real Problem in America These Days
It’s Not High Gas Prices, Baby Formula Shortages, or Inflation... It’s Worse
In America, we now have government officials at all levels, federal, state, and local, who seek to reward evil and punish good. The celebration of homosexuality, transgenderism, criminality, and abortion on demand is now becoming the soft persecution of those who are pro-life, straight, respect the law, and believe in traditional marriage.
Evil is being called good, and good is called evil.
Evil is being protected and rewarded, while good is being attacked.
Criminals are not prosecuted because of their "victim" status. Police are to be defunded. Abortion is called a human right. Prisons should be closed because they oppress minorities. Transgender people are celebrated and given special "rights". Those who insist on voter ID laws are called white supremacists. District Attorneys push back against parents who challenge liberal school boards.
The latest example of this occurred in Buffalo, New York. Early on June 7th, police and fire departments responded to a fire at CompassCare, a pro-life medical office and pregnancy center that helps women and children. The building was firebombed, windows in the reception room and nurses' office were broken, and fires started.
Tragically, New York's current administration has not only willfully ignored similar attacks in Wisconsin and Oregon but instead has earmarked $35 million in taxpayer funds to increase security at abortion clinics. Adding insult to injury, the New York legislature recently passed a bill to investigate pro-life pregnancy centers because they do not perform abortions.
Also, this past week, Vice President Kamala Harris addressed a roundtable of faith leaders about abortion and other "reproductive health" issues. Her opening remarks did not include any overt mention of God, but centered on "protecting reproductive rights and addressing the epidemic of hate that is gripping our nation."
During her opening remarks, Harris said that "we need faith." "We need faith in each other, in our nation, and in our future," she said. She added that "the faith leaders who are gathered here today are representative of many different faiths, many different communities, but share a common purpose, which is to bring healing and hope and a sense of community to all people."
She went on to say, "I would like to talk with these faith leaders about the impending decision from the United States Supreme Court that we believe will undo the very principles and premise of the importance of the privacy right that Roe v. Wade stands for." (sic)
Faith in each other? Really Ms. Vice President? By the way, Roe v. Wade is not about privacy... it is about killing babies.
This past week, President Biden issued an executive order that allows for challenging state laws that seek to ban transgender children from accessing gender-affirming health care and participating in school activities as unconstitutional. It is not health care these states are banning… it is transgender recruitment in schools. He is calling good evil and evil good.
Does he even know the difference?
God has a different plan for us...
"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20 NASB)
Jesus used "woe" against the scribes and Pharisees not as an exclamation but as a declaration, a divine pronouncement of judgment from God unless they repent.
27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. 28 So you too, outwardly appear righteous to people, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. (Matthew 23:27-28)
The authority governments have to make and enforce just laws is given by God. People who hate God and His truth support do-nothing prosecutors and liberal judges and want to defund the police to remove these restraints. As a result, many government agencies are filled with bureaucrats who no longer seek to punish those who do evil but to penalize those who try to do good. This is because they want to do what they want when they want without consequences, laws, regulations, or even the police.
When it comes to God's laws and morality, many people want to decide for themselves what is right and wrong. They refuse to believe that God has authority over their lives.
God's warning also extends to those who vote for, donate to, or support such politicians and government officials...
"One who justifies the wicked and one who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord." (Proverbs 17:15 NSAB)
Nothing will change until good men and women stand up and say enough is enough!
I'm waiting.
