The Truth About Jane's Revenge

The firebombing of a Pro-life group’s offices in Madison, Wisconsin.

I wanted to share this short excerpt from my latest book after reading David Wolosik’s recent post about Democrats in Massachusetts voting to outlaw Crisis Pregnancy Centers. On February 7, 2023, the 11-member Framingham City Council unanimously approved a proclamation on the protection of reproductive rights. The Attorney General’s office plans to prosecute Crisis Pregnancy Centers with Chapter 93A of the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act. They claim pro-life centers spread misinformation. Anyone who pays attention knows this is not true. Pro-life Pregnancy Centers typically offer free sonograms and counseling concerning a women’s range of options, including adoption. Many also offer parenting and childcare skills. (See his entire post here.)

Jane’s Revenge is an extremist abortion rights group that encourages bombing, vandalism, and arson, targeting pro-life crisis pregnancy centers, churches, and Congressional offices. The attacks began in May 2022 after a leak of the ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson, which would eventually overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling on abortion rights.

The Roe v. Wade case was now known to have been based on Jane Roe’s (real name Norma McCorvey) lying under oath. It was decided 7-2 by just nine judges who chose to violate God’s law which always trumps man’s law. (Case law is based on precedents rather than law based on constitutions, statutes, or regulations.) Since it was based on a lie, among other things, it was the right decision to overturn it.

It initially revolved around the fact that in 1969, Norma McCorvey had become pregnant for a third time after giving birth to two other daughters. In the hope that she could get an abortion, she lied and told her doctor that she had been raped.

Norma then sought an adoption lawyer’s assistance. But, the lawyer immediately recognized that McCorvey would be an ideal plaintiff to challenge Texas’ abortion law. And so, the deception began… He knew of two recent law school graduates, Sarah Waddington, and Linda Coffee, who wanted to challenge the law. They needed a poor woman who was neither articulate nor educated and who did not have the resources to travel to another state where abortion was legal. Norma was the perfect candidate, as Waddington and Coffee needed someone who was pliable and easy to manipulate.

In March 1970, McCorvey claimed that she had been duped into signing the false affidavit that launched the case. The name Jane Roe was used to hide her identity. The case went to the Supreme Court, and in a 7-2 decision, the Supreme Court decriminalized abortion in all fifty states.

As it turns out, McCorvey later gave birth to “Baby Roe” and gave her up for adoption. Journalist Joshua Prager’s September 2021 book The Family Roe: An American Story recounts her complete story for the first time, detailing that McCorvey never had an abortion. Born before the 1973 ruling on Roe v. Wade, “Baby Roe”, now known as Shelley Lynn Thornton, never met her mother. She had been placed for adoption at the time of her birth, as were her two older half-sisters, Jennifer Ferguson and Melissa Mills.

In 1995, Norma repented and admitted that she had lied about being raped. Later she began to have remorse over what she had done and became a pro-life activist and author. She became baptized as a Christian. In 1998, because of the influence of Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life, Norma began to work as a pro-life advocate. The pro-abortion lobby has tried to spin her conversion as fake and that she had only done it for financial gain. But on the day Norma died, she urged Father Pavone to continue fighting for the truth.

The real Jane Roe never sought or encouraged revenge, nor should anyone else do so on her behalf...

Thank you for referencing my post Jim. It is unbelievable what is blatantly being done to disrespect the precious gift of life from God in front of everyone with no repercussion.

Thanks for sharing from your book the truth about Norma McCorvey, aka Jane Doe. People have no clue. Keep up the fight for right👍

Like so many leftist plans, based on lies, and bad intent. We are watching the same things happening right now. The COVID for the last two years and now the Climate, wake up to these liars and their motives before it is too late.
