Thank you, Jim! Many people don't know this! They most certainly are NOT Christians! God is a triune Deity - God is Jesus is the Holy Spirit. They see them as separate entities. They are mostly very nice people, but they are not Christians! What upsets me the most about them is that they are misleading people all over the world.
Since Mormons only quit "plural" marriage for the outside world, it is still going on, albeit quietly. I told a couple of those nice young men that Joseph Smith was a pedophile (a pederast, actually). He forced many young girls to marry him under threat of excommunication of themselves and/or their families. The kids tried to explain that it was "olden times" and people did that back then. I explained that it was the 1800s, which is not "olden times" and Joseph Smith's first wife most certainly did NOT approve of the other 39 or so extra wives. That kind of stopped them in their tracks.
Joseph Smith and his father were well known for being con men yet the "Mormons" bought their stories hook, line, and sinker. The salamander letters and the golden tablets are a hoax, as I'm sure you know.
I have done some research but need to do more. They are a CULT, not a religion, sect, or denomination!
