👏🏾thank you for bringing this to our attention, Jim. Literally so crazy! Broad truly is the way to destruction and no one wants to stand alone for the truth these days. But when the world forsakes us THEN God will surely take care of us 🙏🏾

“I think the church needs to think this is the world we are living in, and we need to affirm people wherever they are."

When a pastor says “I” instead of “God says,” you better run and rebuke the demons that inhabit that church.

This excellent article is written with logical reasoning and backed by Biblical scripture and principles. Likewise, I’ll take Jesus’ side on this one, too.

You are biblically and absolutely correct in your assessment of this. There is only one truth, and it IS the Bible as written. Here is what Jesus says about anyone who cannot accept this fact with childlike faith in Mark 10:15: "I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it."

Jim, I agree with you on the question of homosexuality and for that matter, all other sexual sin including masturbation and pornography and unnatural fetishes wether heterosexual or homosexual but I must declare that Jesus had no brothers, half or otherwise. Both Mary and Joseph are perpetual virgins.

Respectfully and in love... Two passages of Scripture give us information about the siblings of Jesus. Matthew 13:54–57 reads, “Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. ‘Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?’ they asked. ‘Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?’ See also Mark 6:3.

‘Brother’ means cousin or brother or other close male relative and the Catholic Church teaches that Mary and Joseph were ever virgin. The Catholic Church is the Church which Jesus founded and the Church put together the bible. These 2 truths are indisputable and all other churches were formed by flawed men not Jesus. The deposit of the faith is found in the bible AND in Church tradition, teaching and dogma. This is what Jesus promised us when he said to Peter: what you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and what you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. The Catholic Church is the Bride of Christ and He is with Her until the end of time.

Let me add this to the conversation... When faced with questions like this, it is best to look at the original language. Since the New Testament was written in Greek, we know that the Greek word for brother is adelfós and a male cousin is xáderfos. If we look at Matthew 13:54–57 in Greek then, we see only the word adelfós used as well as the feminine form of the word for sisters. What reason would Matthew use the word for cousins if he meant only brothers? The same is true of Mark in 6:3.

I thought Paul spent time with James, who is identified as Jesus brother in the Pauline epistles, Acts, Corinthians, and Galatians.

Intriguing. Laura, can you cite non-traditional data—Scripture—to persuade people to your side of that supposition?

To clarify your closing rhetorical question:Jesus had brothers and sisters, and the original Greek supports this. Is that what you meant?

Great.

Jim, would it be worth writing about why the catholic church is rigidly dogmatic about Mary’s “perpetual virginity?”

Some amongst us simply cannot fathom making that a hill to die on when scripture refutes that hypothesis.

Same for transubstantiation.

Interesting question... I've written posts in the past that challenge Catholic "theology "(I am a former Catholic) and have been met with multiple from that community. It's not that I wouldn't... but as you ask... is that the hill?

This may sound far-fetched but in my opinion the LGBTQ+ community is part of a bigger agenda and that would be depopulation. The majority of these people will not procreate which serves as a depopulation tool as the powers that be, have convinced themselves that the climate hoax is real. Therefore this is celebrated and children in schools are being indoctrinated or groomed to believe they can be any gender they wish and that this practice is completely normal and natural. We had Covid released upon the masses which killed millions however the cure (Vaccines) were worse than the sickness itself. For those in the know an estimated 14 million have died from these safe and effective vaccines. Safe for the drug makers as they have zero liability and effective in disabling people which creates lifelong customers for big pharma or the funeral industry. One insurer claimed that death claims were up 40%. We see attacks in the West on farmers, especially those with livestock and there are protests going on around the globe basically no farmers, no food. The migrant issue is also taking place in all parts of the West with the US taking in the most and people are protesting this as well. I saw video where Muslims were saying down with the UK Police & Government and that they will replace the natural citizens and Sharia law would soon follow. You have the people at the World Economic Forum dictating what lawmakers and Corporations must do and they want two classes of people, the rich which is them, and the poor that would be us. A video was circulating by the WEF that said You will own nothing and be happy, well inflation could certainly make this become a reality. Meat will be a treat and not a staple for our health and to combat climate change. The bible says the world will pass away but my word shall not. Russia, nor China does not embrace the sick ideologies the West promotes and celebrates like the LGBTQ+ agenda and this is why they are looked at as the enemy when in fact it's our own government we should fear. Our freedoms including religion are under attack. Even Rick Warren whose book "The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here for?" that really got me on board with Christianity is part of the World Economic Forum. Pope Francis who is the most liberal Pope I have ever seen is also a member though I do not identify as Catholic says LGBTQ+ is not a sin. There is definitely a spiritual battle going on and it's for the soul. Stopworldcontrol.com is a great resource of information that provides proof that Covid was a planned with evidence to back it up and also points to what is coming. David Sorensen is the operator of this site and is Pastor of NorthStar Baptist Church. He is viewed as a super spreader of misinformation and Conspiracy theories which all seem to be coming true.
