This is a strong and needed word. People are chasing feel-good teachings instead of the truth of the gospel, and it’s leading them away from the real hope found in Christ. Jesus didn’t come to unlock some “inner divine spark”—He came to save sinners. We don’t need self-help, we need a Savior. Appreciate this bold stand for biblical truth. Praying hearts turn back to the Word.

Idolatry — old as the ancient hills. Nothing new under the sun.

I’m skeptical of anything with her picture on it. Especially since she has said we should treat AI with reverence. 😳😳😳 nope.

Looks like Oprah is as successful with her choice of New Thought religion as she is with trendy dieting and thinking herself thin.

Melissa has been talking about New Thought. She wrote a book to help explain it.

😢 ... so right. I saw on a video, as many others may have, of O arguing with a female individual in her audience. Faith was brought up in the discussion by OW, but O wasn't going to tolerate any opinions that were different from hers. Thank you, Jim.

Nothing new under the sun is there? Oprah is preaching repentance-free salvation and as you point out she is 180 degrees away from the truth. Wide is the gate that leads to destruction and many will enter by it.

It sounds like New Thought denies the Holy Spirit. Am I understanding this correctly? I have never heard of it before now. Thanks for explaining it!

It seems that it denies the Holy Spirit who reminds us, as any good friend should do, to repent and acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than our own; that we need to invite Jesus IN, NOT go inward within ourselves to find Him. Jesus finds and calls us unto Himself. We are all innately evil, sinful people that desperately need a savior.

This New Thought, in Oprah’s words, glorifies the self within the self, similar to other far east religions. Also, sounds a bit like Illuminati type beliefs of the self, which seems to be extraordinarily popular within Hollyweird….

We are created in the image or likeness of God from His breath yet completely not God.

We may call it New Thought but it's just old thought in a new package. The Bible spends more than a few words warning us about people like this.

I'm surprised Oprah is still a thing...

Good rule of thumb: If someone is popular by the world's standards, beware.
