Great post. My wife showed me a meme of a coal train with probably 100 cars that said "look, electric car food". There are other down sides of this insane craze like their weight wears out roads quicker. The biggie is to replace the battery which of course wears out is probably HALF the cost of the car!
The electric car isn't a threat. The forced use of a non viable commodity is.
If the battery operated car industry had to fairly compete in the market, it would innovate safer and more effective products and THEN be a viable option.
But when governments mandate them, subsidize them through forced contribution and then place tariffs on their competition, we all lose.
They are a threat to the whole world! People have no idea how the cobalt is mined, what an open-pit lithium mines look like, or just how inefficient the stupid things are! I live in a very spread out city - EVs are very bad choices for a city where everything is miles and miles from everywhere else. I don't think anyone should buy them! Buying them sets a bad example; as if we approve of the whole trainwreck/big lie. So no thanks! I'll stick with my 4WD pickup! I would recommend buying tires soon - before they're outlawed.
Toyota is building hydrogen cars... a much better alternative! The Toyota Mirai is an electric vehicle that creates its own electricity using hydrogen, oxygen, and a fuel cell, and its only tailpipe emission is water vapor. See it at https://www.caranddriver.com/toyota/mirai-2020
That is a good alternative to batteries for many reasons. But, it takes a lot of energy to split water to make the hydrogen. Plus, it will take a lot of new infrastructure to distribute the hydrogen. It is time to dig up the story about the fellow that re-engineeed his auto that took on water to create the hydrogen. He ended up in an early grave after his discovery.
There is nothing that is being built that is conserving energy; it is only fulfilling the greedy desires of those who think they are the elite. If energy is to be conserved, then me and the rest of the world that uses electricity, gas, plastic, paper, and anything else that comes from the earth need to stop. We know that is not going to happen; therefore, we trot on and see what the end will be.
There is plenty of technology available to cleanly use fuel such as coal. For example capturing carbon to make gypsum and scrubbing other toxins. But the controllers and money makers will be happier with thier inane green machine.
Thank you...
Fantastic post Jim. BRAVO!!

That's a great observation by you wife... lefties don't know that in many areas EVs are CPCs... coal powered cars!

Most green deceptions are almost funny; almost.

Thank you for highlighting this issue that so many are being deceived by.
