Welcome to the New American Killing Fields
Why is no one demanding to know why kids are killing kids in school?
Editor’s note: Since the publication of this post, additional information has become available to me regarding a link between certain prescription drugs and mass shootings. It was published by … find the post at:
A few days ago, yet another tragic school shooting occurred in America. This time it was at the Central Visual and Performing Arts High School in St. Louis, Missouri. Three people were killed, including the alleged perpetrator, 19-year-old former student Orlando Harris. An additional seven others were injured.
It would be horrific enough if this were the only school shooting this year, but sadly, it is not. It is the 38th... surpassing 2018’s record of 36, with two months to go.
The list is endless; since the year 2000, school shootings have occurred in over 350 other cities, including Albuquerque, New Orleans, Chicago, New York, Pittsburgh, Tacoma, Reno, Memphis, Knoxville, Philadelphia, Parkland, Mobile, Kansas City, Cheyenne, Tucson, Sandy Hook, Fayetteville, Eugene, Toledo, Fort Worth, Naples, Knoxville, Wichita, Baltimore, Atlanta, Birmingham, Newark, Jersey City, Washington D.C., Cleveland, Dekalb, Detroit, Fresno, Miami, and Uvalde...
History of School Shootings in the United States
In the two decades following the Columbine shooting in April 1999, the U.S. has experienced at least 12 mass school shootings and hundreds of smaller-scale attacks that have touched every state in the union, with more than 278,000 students experiencing some form of violence from a person with a gun.
Sadly, school shootings are a uniquely American phenomenon. Since 2009, the U.S. has had 57 times as many school shootings as the other major industrialized nations combined. The next worst is Mexico, with eight. In the same period, China, Germany, and Russia have a total of one between them.
After each heartbreaking occurrence, politicians and gun control advocates are quick to promote their agenda. One of these politicians is Democrat Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, who shamelessly used the Uvalde, Texas school shooting tragedy to raise cash for his 2022 Senate campaign.
(For more on this, read The Real Gun Issue Isn’t What Most People Think It Is)
But the shootings are increasing despite enhanced security measures, stricter laws, metal detectors, locked doors, and security guards.
Why?
Could it be our youth are not being taught respect for life, liberty, country, parents, older folks, military, police officers, ICE, private property, or how to deal with disagreement and disappointment?
That’s all true, but it doesn’t go far enough… maybe the answer lies in what they ARE being exposed to by Hollywood, celebrities, social media, and perverted leftist teachers. Here are some examples:
America is a despicable country built by racists on the backs of slaves, and they should be ashamed of themselves for it.
Their lives are in jeopardy as they will likely die young unless America quickly eliminates fossil fuels and adopts unreliable wind and solar power.
They should probably not have any children but rather have an abortion to save the planet.
Getting stoned or high to deal with life is OK, even legal in some states.
They should feel guilty for being white because they have “unearned privilege” and are automatically and irredeemably racist.
There are no God-given male/female roles, but 64 genders they can choose from on a whim. They are taught at a very young age that there are no such things as boys or girls but only “students.” They can be one or the other… whenever they decide for that particular day.
Sexual perversion of any sort is normal, and they are hateful if they disagree.
Sex is for instant gratification because you can always get an abortion.
Violent video games and Hollywood movies embrace the idea that anyone who gets in the way of the “hero” needs to be shot, stabbed, or blown to bits.
They are learning about Critical Race Theory, not reading, writing, arithmetic, or other life skills.
They are victims of anything or anyone that doesn’t make them continually happy.
They are entitled to equal outcomes just because they exist.
There is no higher purpose in life than catering to self.
Feelings are more important than facts.
I could go on, but none of these addresses the root cause, which is this:
America is fast becoming a godless, morally bankrupt society… rotting from the top down. Its victims are our children who have lost faith in authority due to our society’s moral decay. Kids are continually being brainwashed by celebrities, social media leftist teachers, corrupt politicians, Hollywood, advertisers, and the media to believe there is no absolute truth. They are watching vaccinated people they know suffer serious side effects or even suddenly die. They have been conditioned to believe their situation is hopeless unless they turn to the state (Democrat Party) as their god rather than Jesus Christ.
With nothing to believe in, more and more are being pushed to the point of despair...
Increasing numbers of them are dying from drug overdoses...
Many are filled with angst, confusion, depression, and anxiety...
So why wouldn’t they resort to shooting each other?
Great essay Jim! In addition, all the time spent playing violent video games. Like putting a future pilot in a flight simulator. When you "shoot" 500 or 1000 people, it is not so hard anymore. I also think they have a hard time differentiating between reality and fantasy. We played army, etc., and knew we were only playing. Lastly, most of these shooters are on some type of psychotherapeutic drug, which exasperates the problem.
How to insure our intentions, and the actions dependent on these intentions, are predicated on the lowest common denominator. All our tools - intelligence, talent, curiosity, free speech, digital technology, guns, education, gender (short list) - are subsumed under the aegis and intent of reaching the level of the lowest common denominator ASAP. We are on the slippery slope toward mediocrity on greased skids.
