For my last yearly physical I drove the 40 miles up to my PCP in Gila Bend. As I drove I glimpsed a particular barrel cactus along the side of the road and I thought about their nature. If a barrel cactus is transplanted one must be careful to replant it in the exact same orientation to the sun, otherwise it will twist itself back to it's original position when first germinated. So, I mentioned this to my PCP and said "for as dumb as these cacti are they are pretty smart, so what is all this craziness today about a boy becoming a girl, and girl a boy?" He said: "This is something on which we disagree." :-/. With all his education in science, biology and medicine, he has swallowed the Jim Jones Cool Aid. I had esteemed his good care but now he has lost my respect.
