Sage advice, and control what we can…..ourselves.

God's control of the circumstances of our lives does not take away our freedom. It provides a framework in which true spiritual freedom can flourish. That includes problems and bad things as well, since those whom God loves he chastens and we all need disciplining from time to time.

I have come to the conclusion that the only peace of mind available is through unshakable faith.

On the other hand, I've long thought that Christian services would benefit from the addition of a few minutes of meditation. Yoga, like chiropractic care, gives temporary relief from anxiety (while providing excellent physical and internal benefits); but I wouldn't trade it for Jesus. Happily, I don't have to.

You are right about Yoga... in fact it is worse than temporary relief. Its positions reach out to false Gods. See my post on this at https://theamericanfaithandfreedomblog.substack.com/p/the-dark-side-of-yoga

Loving God and having peace are closely linked with loving his law and being obedient to him.

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. (Psa 119:165)

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient (not obeying the law) , the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient (not obeying the law) : whereunto also they were appointed. (1Pe 2:6-8)

🎯💥🔨🙏🦋🕊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Jim! With Glory to God in the Highest

Mankind's big problem it that it either forgets, or refuses to acknowledge in the first place that:

".....WITHOUT ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING."

-GOD

It's been tried countless times before. Mankind's deceptive delusions of grandeur always end up circling the drain before coming face to face with history's watery demise. They always deny that this is the inevitable outcome and instead expect safety and effectiveness, in a concocted utopia promised by Satan, their god and the father of lies.

This is the reason we repeat history over and over again while impotently insisting on a different outcome that we have no power whatsoever to achieve apart from God

Most of mankind hates God... they have no respect for Him, nor do they fear of His wrath.

Amen! Thanks Jim. Sometimes I feel like my memory is failing me but it could be all the distractions we are being served all at once and then I read the part where Jesus was resting and the sea became turbulent and then his disciples woke him up and he calmed the storm. I remember that verse very well. We need to pray that he will calm this storm of charades as well.
