Over the past weekend, the Border Patrol found twelve illegal immigrants in a railroad car in south Texas. They had been trapped for over 24 hours. Sadly, one was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was the second incident in the same week involving immigrants found in a Texas boxcar. There were 15 men and two women inside that car... again sadly, two of them didn’t make it out alive.
Human smugglers had likely abandoned these human beings from Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, and Colombia to fend for themselves.
These incidents have not received much attention outside my home state of Texas.
How is this happening?
As it turns out, The American Red Cross is actually helping illegals make their way into the United States. Yes... that Red Cross. They are going so far as to provide folletos informativos (information pamphlets) to entice illegal immigrants to make the journey.
Millions of illegal aliens and fake refugees are expected to flood across the U.S. southern border this year. Many who undertake the journey use a smuggler known as a “coyote” that promises a safe and successful journey… for a huge price. From Central America northward to the U.S. border, every step of the way is controlled by cartels/coyotes. As immigrants come north, coyotes resort to extortion, kidnapping, and worse to squeeze as much money as possible out of the people passing through their territories.
When some illegals run out of money or won’t pay, they dump them in a remote part of the desert. That is a sure death sentence in the 100-plus-degree heat of summer. Other illegals with no money are expected to carry illegal drugs in backpacks or be forced to swallow drug-filled balloons as the price of crossing the border. Some who can’t or won’t swallow the balloons are sold to sex traffickers.
These pamphlets from the Red Cross show hotels, clinics, and shelters where migrants can get support during their journey. The maps include clearly defined paths leading to cities in the U.S., including rail lines. The guides detail how to survive in the desert, how to jump on trains safely, and where to obtain contraceptives. The cartels can use these maps to intercept their victims.
Among those who do make it here, especially unaccompanied minors, find themselves working in illegal, dirty, and dangerous jobs at low wages. They do this to pay off high-interest debts to the cartels who helped them illegally enter the country.
It seems illegal immigration is very profitable for the Red Cross.
The Red Cross is the beneficiary of millions of dollars in U.S. Government contracts. The organization sits on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Food and Shelter Program board.
Perhaps they need the money to pay the Red Cross President and Chief Executive Officer Gail J. McGovern’s nearly three-quarters of a million dollars a year in salary and benefits. All five corporate officers are women, from whom you would expect more compassion. Board members include top executives from Walmart, Apple, Sam’s Club, and Nationwide Insurance.
Ensuring the charity you give to reflects your core values is always a good idea. And as it stands now, every dollar you donate to the Red Cross could in some way go towards causing more human suffering instead of reducing it. There was a time when the Red Cross advertised that 91 cents from every dollar donated went towards humanitarian causes... that number now has to be questioned. The Red Cross no longer appears to be the organization they once were.
The question is this, dear reader, what is so important to these people that they would knowingly lead human beings into situations where they can be killed, raped, or robbed? What is so important that they believe it is acceptable to enable the flow of illegal drugs into the U.S., drugs that kill over 96 thousand Americans every year? What is so important to them that they would turn a blind eye to girls being sold into sexual slavery?
We must be fully informed about the charities we donate to discern whether or not they are worthy. Perhaps some better alternatives might include a charity sponsored by your church, a local food bank, a pregnancy center, or a shelter that you can visit to see what happens there.
Too many people use the importance of “loving thy neighbor” to justify efforts to “bring poor immigrants” to America. But, subjecting human beings to this type of abuse is not loving anybody, but instead is leading them to harm. It is important to understand what true love is. We love people by genuinely seeking what is best for them. Biblically, our neighbor is anyone in our proximity with whom we can share God’s love... not someone who lives on another continent...
Thank you for the information Jim. Using our money to destroy us!
The big NGOs always move left, but this information is shocking.

Yes, we must be careful whom we contribute to. There are great charities out there, like Voice of the Martyrs and Independent Church in India, that amazing work. They need our support.
