Melina Abdullah, a professor of Pan-African Studies at Cal State University Los Angeles, who is a self-described “Black Lives Matter organizer, Pan-Africanist, Hip Hop scholar, daughter of God, womanist, truth-teller, and mama” waited until last Super Bowl Sunday to say, “It’s slightly racist to be a Taylor Swift fan”.
Really? Is that like being “slightly pregnant”?
And why is it that only White people are considered racist and no one else?
And what about non-white people who like Taylor Swift?
It’s no secret that White Guilt activists falsely claim that White people bear collective responsibility for all of the injury that has resulted from all past or present racism. They maintain those injured include, among others, the descendants of the victims of the Atlantic slave trade, European colonialism, and the genocide of Native Americans.
Hey Swifties... feeling guilty yet?
I hope not...
First of all, there is no Biblical basis for the concept of “race” as the word is used in our culture today. The Bible does not define people by skin color. The closest it gets to discussing white skin color is to describe people who suffered from leprosy. (Exodus 4:6)
The Bible defines people by tribal affiliations nations, and ethnicities, not by race. Words for “race” or “racism” are not found in any biblical Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek Scriptures. The King James Version (KJV) translation, which was first published in 1611, has no term for “race” in either a biological or ethnic sense. Some modern Bible translations, including the KJV, do use the word race, but only in one of three ways...
About the human race... where it is used to emphasize the single origins of our common humanity. We are all descended from Adam... one race... the human race, composed of different ethnicities. And he said to the human race, “The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.” (Job 28:28)
Some translations use the term race to indicate the difference between those who believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah and those who do not. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)
Thirdly, the word race is used in Scripture as in an athletic contest... for example, Paul wrote, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)
The American concept of “race relations” was found nowhere in print until 1897...
Collective Damnation vs. Collective Salvation
Some “activists” regard White Guilt as an unforgivable sin as if only white people are capable of being racist, particularly against Black people. Therefore, as some
of their thinking goes Whites are all collectively dammed, with even public repentance of one’s White Guilt being insufficient for salvation.
(The only truly unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit... but that’s a post for another day.)
The theology of White Guilt paints whites as collectively guilty just because of their skin color. (That’s racist in itself.) It needs to be seen for what it is... part of Cultural Marxism designed to divide our country into the oppressed and oppressor classes.
Repenting for the sins of others is something we never need to do... If someone has individually sinned against another, regardless of their ethnicity, they must repent of it individually. Sadly, there are so-called churches that actually teach this garbage that distracts people from the Biblical message of redemption and reconciliation. There is no Biblical mandate for us to repent for the sins of others. God does not hold us responsible for the acts of others that were committed 10 miles or 100 years away from us.
Consider these two passages...
“Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not suffer the punishment for the father’s guilt?’ When the son has practiced justice and righteousness and has kept all My statutes and done them, he shall certainly live. 20 The person who sins will die. A son will not suffer the punishment for the father’s guilt, nor will a father suffer the punishment for the son’s guilt; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself." (Ezekiel 18:19-20)
“Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin. (Deuteronomy 24:16)
On the other hand, there is a similar amount of error among those who believe in collective salvation. They say, “Unless we are all saved, none of us will be saved”. They falsely believe that they have to do their part by cooperating with others to help ensure everyone else’s salvation. It is only then that they are all saved together.” The problem with the concept of collective salvation is that it is not found in the Bible. Scripture is clear that salvation is a process by which God saves individuals through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross... not whole groups of people.
We are never dammed or saved because of someone else. Only God is the author of our salvation. Each of us must come to Christ and repent of our own sins individually, not collectively.
The term collective salvation is a trademark of the ecumenical movement. Ecumenicists include those who are willing to combine various elements of Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism, or any other religion to somehow find a wide path to salvation. (Universalism) Not so... Jesus was clear when He said, “...I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me”. (John 14:6)
Our Christian mandate has nothing to do with collective morality or lack thereof, and everything to do with how we individually respond to Jesus Christ. We need to repent of our actual sins, not for being of a particular skin color.
White Guilt is a liberal lie just like that of “climate change”... it's just another way to draw our eyes away from Christ and toward the doctrines of demons.
If your church or school teaches White Guilt, get out now...

Guilt has no color. All mankind experiences guilt about one thing or another. And as you stated, there is only one race, the human race. However, the Word of God states that He will visit the sins of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Him, but have mercy on those who keeps His commandments (Deut. 5:9-10). A lot of spiritual doors of evil has been opened by parents that needs to be repented of and closed. Some doors have been opened that only God can reveal to us; therefore, as we get closer to God and away from the crazy distractions, He will show us the real truth about ourselves first, and then others. This is no time to be caught up in things that God has not called us to entertain.
As always, you bring clarity to your topic with the proper use of the Bible, and this one is yet another example of just what you call it: a liberal lie. People who believe this clearly have no understanding of the Bible and either don't know Jesus or have completely taken their eyes off of Jesus. As you say, "Repenting for the sins of others is something we never need to do," and I would take a step further. It is something we CANNOT do. And being white, black, yellow, brown or any color is not something that needs repenting of, anyway. Thank you, Jim, for speaking the truth in love.
