The Monumental Lie of Wind Power

The left’s renewable power dream is turning into a nightmare...

Wind turbines nationwide are both literally and financially collapsing at an increasing rate. According to a new Bloomberg report, the frequency of failing and burning land-based wind turbines is spiking. Offshore turbines are faring even worse... generating insanely expensive power no one wants to pay for.

In New York, the state’s clown car renewable-energy plan is beginning to implode. Last month, the state Public Service Commission rejected a request for $12 billion worth of subsidies for dozens of wind farm projects that were supposed to provide a quarter of the state’s electricity.

This will most likely mean huge increases in electric bills in a state where power costs are already far above the national average. The companies involved say they face higher construction, financing, and operating costs. Seeing that significant cost increases threaten to make their projects unprofitable; these companies went to the state’s Public Service Commission asking for increases of 35% to 65% increases in the price of electricity they hope to generate.

Why are they building these moronic monuments to the climate change gods? The state’s 2019 Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act requires cutting fossil-fuel emissions 40% by 2030 and 85% by 2050.

That ain’t gonna happen...

The adjusted cost of energy generated from natural gas is around $37 per megawatt hour. Compare that to contracts signed with the state that set offshore wind’s price at $118 per megawatt-hour, but still not enough to make turbines turn a profit. To get out of the red, the firms had begged the Public Service Commission to increase the price to between $140 and $190 per megawatt-hour. New York residents are outraged.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch... the folks in charge of overseeing the state electric grid have warned that the failure to generate this wind power electricity risks leaving New York City facing blackouts in as little as 14 months.

This wind power insanity stretches all the way to California, where, in September 2018, the state set a goal of 100% clean electric power by 2045. Last summer, many California electric car owners were asked to refrain from charging their cars due

to the strain on the electrical grid caused by hot weather. There’s also the fact that they have to turn off their wind turbines when hot summer winds exceed the operating limits set by the manufacturers.

Wherever wind turbines are found, they are a blight on the landscape. A drive through the once pristine Palm Springs, California desert terrain will reveal just how unsightly a line of wind turbines can be.

How “environmentally friendly” is that?

Could it be that New York and California climate clown regulators want to remove your freedoms, regardless of the consequences? Why else would they persist in wanting residents to switch away from fossil fuels to electric cars, heat, and ranges in the coming years... despite the fact that if the average household switched to electric vehicles, their additional electricity consumption for the car alone would be equivalent to 25 refrigerators.

Wind power will never generate enough electricity to meet the increasing demands of our power grid... not now or in the future. Wind power as it stands today is a monumental joke. Fossil fuels will be with us for a long time to come until something better (like clean nuclear) comes along. Ignoring that fact puts America at risk.

Until then, no matter how smart these East and West Coast greenies think they are, they might just be the dumbest people on the planet...
