Even in the apostle Paul's day, he warned his disciple, Timothy: "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths." (2 Tim 4:3-4) Today, we simply have more ways to know this is what people are doing...still.

Ummhmm! Exactly! All of these new age gurus people popping everywhere with all of these airy faerie teachings that sound really great but are nothing but deception! People need to be careful with that stuff! I read an article somewhere online, cannot remember where, about people taking these "spiritual retreats" and doing that plant medicine called ayahuasca and having horrible experiences! Some people said that they saw alien looking creatures and creatures that they couldn't describe while under the influence of ayahuasca and it terrified them. Some people said after the retreat and taking ayahuasca that they started having horrible night mares! Then you have some people who said they had a beautiful and mind expanding experience when they took ayahuasca! That plant medicine stuff sounds like poison to me! There are certain natural plants on earth that are poisonous and not meant for humans to consume and that ayahuasca stuff is one of those plants! I don't know why people want risk doing that stuff! I think that plant medicine stuff opens doors up to demons and interdimensional parasitic entities that attach to people. Some of these retreats are in South America lead by shamans and in that article I read people said that those shamans were shady and charged people from the US ridiculous prices to attend these retreats! Doing that stuff is not worth the risk to a person's sanity but people do it!

Well, there's certainly nothing biblical about any of that, and therein lies the real problem. People do not read and implement the bible into their lives by the power of the Holy Spirit because they don't even know Jesus. But Romans 1 reminds us it's always been this way.

Yeah! That's true! Not to mention how many people have turned away from Jesus!

Amen brother Jim, Amen!

Good one, Jim. Without looking up specific verse, and paraphrasing, doesn't the Bible also say as a member of the Body of Christ you are supposed to care for your brothers and sisters by rebuking them in private if you see them doing something wrong. If that doesn't work you are sue to bring it to public attention?

The apostle Paul instructed Christians in Corinth to not go to court against one another (1 Corinthians 6:1-8), But, if the biblical pattern for reconciliation has been followed (Matthew 18:15-17) and the offending party is still in the wrong, in some instances a lawsuit might be justified. This should only be done after much prayer for wisdom (James 1:5) and consultation with a pastor. (This does not apply to dealing with non-Christians.)

Excellent article Jim. It's interesting how, denying the Bible, one finds a verse or two to justify their sin and then smugly smiles.

Well, when the fig leaves fall, everyone will know who we are. The Word of God is true and does not come back without it accomplishing what it was sent to do. The Word of God is also situational. That is why one has to be led and guided by God the Holy Spirit who knows all things. God uses His Word however He pleases; however, I also know that there are some who uses the Word of God that He has not signed off on. Nevertheless, the true Church within the Church, is standing on the Word of God and is not getting distracted by the foolishness of the enemy--Satan. As God has said in His Word also, if he had not shortened the time the very elect would be fooled. Thank God for keeping and protecting us from what is to coming soon. I pray that the people of God (and I am included) continue to repent and come in alignment with the Kingdom of God and be steadfast in our faith. We have to trust God for real in this hour or we will be consumed. Thanks for the message.

Dear Brother Jim, We are all aware of the 7 Deadly Sins (that is, those that we all commit regularly and must turn away from). I must confess to being a gnostic Christian. I favor the "Jefferson Bible" - entitled THE LIFE AND MORALS OF JESUS OF NAZARETH. That being said, I must disagree with you about the most abused verse in the Bible. IMHO, that verse is John 14:6. I cannot believe that Jesus, a Jewish Rabbi, would condemn all of his fellow Jews (those who didn't accept him) Honestly, it sounds so unlike the Christ that gave the Sermon on the Mount. I can't help but believe that was inserted long after Jesus' death. Regardless, God Bless You, Jim. Unlike most of us angry Patriots, you are able to reconcile the words of the Bible to coping with the challenges of the Great Beast.

The Big Guy will vacate the White House by July, 2024.

Revelation 13:5 The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant and blasphemous words, and authority to act for 42 months. The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. Then the beast was allowed to speak great blasphemies against God.

Great article today, Jim. We are warned of false prophets and teachings, especially during the end times. I think we are here.
