‘Barbie,’ and why conservatives keep losing the culture war

https://thehill.com/opinion/education/4131056-barbie-and-why-conservatives-keep-losing-the-culture-war/

"As far as the movie goes overall, I see no reason to tell people to keep children away from it. Of course it is liberal. Of course it makes clumsy efforts at propagandizing. But so what? So does almost everything in the entertainment business."

And this:

You can’t take kids to see a movie about the horrors of human trafficking — and why would you? Culture happens around and to you, whether you participate in it or not. Pretending you can close your eyes and make it go away, like the end of “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” isn’t realistic.

INCREDABLE

The remnant will always stand for righteousness. Thanks for the report. As believers of Christ, we should not be surprised. Wickedness will continue to escalate. Believers of Christ must know what they believe and live the life we believe. Thank you and God bless you.

I look forward to reading The Dirty Little Business of Christian Music. Nearly 40 years ago, I made the mistake of taking my teenagers to a Petra concert. It was like a Pink Floyd event without Floyd's budget. I suspect we will not be reading a critical review of THE OLD RUGGED CROSS or AMAZING GRACE. I can't help but think of a South Park episode where Cartman became a Christian Rock celebrity by simply adding the name Jesus to all of the popular love songs he knew.

I see it as an opportunity to move more people in the direction of light instead of darkness. As long as we keep trying and not giving up, there is still hope. A power vacuum is being created, we need to insure it is filled with the right power.

Great job, Jim! Your post outlining the Barbie movie was well done also, though tragic. I appreciate your call to continue to pray for the lost. Sadly, it’s only going to get worse from here.
