In my experience, when someone incessantly tells you what a good Christian they are, grab your wallet and RUN! The finest Christians I have known don't broadcast. They show it in how they live. Which makes you WANT to ask them questions. Thanks for pointing out the difference.
Thank you for posting this article. Indeed, I agree that "merely saying one is a Christian is vastly different from actually being one." There is no shortage of people professing to be Christian or Christian-like, but "their hearts are full of darkness." Some will extract parts of the Bible they like and cast a blind eye to anything else that opposes their particular worldview, including harboring animosity towards their fellow Man. As Christians, many of us still sin but "wish to turn from it, knowing that it is by grace through faith."
