One last word......If we don't vote then someone else will make those decisions for us. While we still can vote, vote we must. To run away and hide is not the solution to anything. But it may give the perpetually undecided solace in the fact they did something by doing nothing.

Excellent article, in other words, voting Good against Evil, very Simple. I agree with President Trump, let’s make “America Great Again” back to God’s original plan and Biblical Principles.

Jim,

Your catalog of recent articles is off the charts in relevance and truth. Thank you for amalgamating so much important content in an easy-to-find way.

Sadly, too many evangelical pastors hide behind 'relevance' in their scriptural messaging. I see too much 'anecdotal' style preaching and not enough expository preaching. Funny stories at the expense of truth. Feel good, relatable, cute - but not cutting edge in addressing truth or error.

To ignore what is taking place before our very eyes, as you have enumerated in several very recent articles, is to tune out reality at our peril. While I and a few of my brothers from church try to be aware of current events, too many others live with their heads in the sand, with only their butts sticking out as targets to be whacked.

Keep up the great writing.

Keep looking up!

🚨 IT'S ON US, CHURCH

Psalm 9:17 KJV

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. 👈

1 Samuel 15:23 KJV

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

Psalm 53:1-3 KJV

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Isaiah 55:6-7 KJV

6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

A pastor has no business talking to his congregation about politics! That pulpit is there for the first preaching of the Word of God! What are you talking about?! The Bible addresses every single sin problem in the world. The pastors job is to build up the sheep for the Kingdom of God, not the world.

One doesn't have to talk politics if the Bible is fully exegeted. They will gain understanding and make the connections by themselves. You don't have to be 'on-the-nose' to make a point. Scripture illuminates God's mind for us to see, hear, feel and smell in many cases if it is clearly taught. Unfortunately many preachers tell too many 'funny' stories about their own lives and miss out on using scripture to teach scripture. Make sense?

I read Vigano's whole letter. Powerful. Sadly, I think most people won't actually take the time to read anything lengthy. I am appalled at the number of people who are so blind and the number of Christians who are not going to even vote.

So many churches are tied into the 501c3 for tax-exemption which prohibits them from endorsing or warning about a candidate. Although you would expect them to lead you in terms of politics, those kind of churches cannot.

It's not true that the government can take away 501c3for every type of talk about voting. Many don't want to bother or do the research.

I'm afraid the state of many churches is worse than that. Not only do they not tell their congregants what each candidate believes about the issues, but many do not even tell them what God believes about the issues. I would be perfectly happy if pastors did not talk about specific candidate but would just talk about what the bible says about the issues and explain why these things are so important to God. Then, because they are important to God, they should be important to us and sitting on the sidelines letting non-believers decide our fate is not what God wants. He also doesn't want us to be ignorant or vote for people who will make laws that are blatantly against God's word. It is the pastors job to educate their congregation on what the bible says about the issues affecting our politics today and it is our job to educate ourselves on which candidate most aligns with God's views. But too many pastors are not only shying away from talking about politics but they are also shying away from talking about what God says and explaining why it matters to us.

Courtney, I agree. If preachers would preach the Word and teach the Word and people would study the Word, (seek His face) congregants would know how to discern between truth and error, and a candidates 'politics' will become clearly perceived.

Finally, we do not rely on human politics to save us. We must seek God's face for revival to take place.

Now this article maps out a great reason to Vote…. We need to vote for the one who stands up for our values!!!

Also as one of the articles said if you don’t vote for person who stands for what you belief and stand up for… then it is if you cast a vote for the other candidate.., not voting should not be acceptable, unless you will not be complaining if the greater of the 2 evils wins!!

And think on this it could be a close vote and your vote could have been the actual deciding vote!!

Jim, you are being deceived again. You and all the others who buy into the propaganda that the "VOTE!!!!!!" that is being pushed past insane limits is the END ALL and BE ALL of this /sELECTION process are being fooled

You apparently dont see how this incessant drumbeat emphasis of HOW NOT VOTING IS REALLY A VOTE FOR HARRIS/WALZ is going to be used to SHAME and BLAME NONVOTERS for not voting as a cover story to distract attention from all the corruption that is going on within the /sELECTION process should 2024 be a repeat of 2020.. Signs are in evidence that nothing has been done nationwide to "fix" the problems that came to light in 2020. But fear not, the "fix" is in to blame non voters should a similar loss occur again.

Should the "LESSER OF THE TWO EVILS" win, I hope you don't ever have reason to regret buying a pig in a poke.......

My God given conscience still tells me to sit this one out. I dont jump on bandwagons, especially those that fly red flags. Please respect my choice.

You're right I think. To vote or not to vote is a personal decision. All government is an evil, as many people have said. But I think the current left-right division in America now is not between the lesser of two evils so much as between evil and good. The right is not entirely good, but the left is pure evil. We need to stand up against the leftists.

Expand full comment
Catherine Hazur's avatar

Nobody is saying "Don't stand up against the leftists."

There's a lot of creative ways to do that and it should be done.

The problem is that all the emphasis is being placed on "VOTING" which has been pretty much revealed to be a scam operation that hasn't been fixed yet......81 million shady "votes" for Joe Biden, yeah right!.......one that requires ZERO skin in the game but gives the voter some righteous sounding, virtue signalling brownie points.

Jane Kuehn's avatar

You are assuming that voters, which I believe is a requirement for believers, is all many are doing to stand against the evil of the left. Many, many are doing so much more. Maybe, just maybe, believing the narrative that nothing can or has been done to correct the voting is the deception?

Cork Hutson's avatar
