All experienced Veterans yet once out MAY qualify to get a handgun with 50 bullets PER YEAR! No rifles or shotguns! Now that the horse is out of the barn, they are allowing more Israelis to get handguns and upping the bullets from 50 to 100! A definite mismatch against a machine gun with hundreds of bullets!
You are right, a handgun us pretty much useless in that type of situation. An Israeli made Uzi with a folding stock would be a much better choice along with 1000 rounds. Guns don't kill people, HAMAS does.
