I have never been comfortable with female pastors. It’s just weird to me. Maybe that’s just growing up in a traditional England or maybe because so many of them have turned out to be lesbians
Jim, you are one of a multitude of heretics on this topic and you will either repent or answer for changing the ordinances. I already know you're a KJV-onlyist because the KJV is the only translation that supports banning the female pastorate.
Which means that you have NOT studied the Scriptures, you have studied the KJV, which is man's interpretation of Scripture. Or in the KJV's case, dozens of men, who were instructed to make strategic deviations from the original Greek because some woman broke the king's heart. They also misspelled Phoebe's name in Romans for good measure, though Strong's did later acknowledge that a "servant" of the church = Christian pastor. Moreover, Priscilla (real name Prisca) was Paul's "coworker," except in the KJV, where she was demoted to a "helper."
It gets better Jim. You and your ilk are doing the aspiring female pastors a huge favor, because the word "pastor" doesn't even exist in Scripture, but only in the BIBLES, and in one NT verse (Ephesians). However, Stong's had to come clean on the term being a Latin figurative interpretation of "shepherd." Therefore, the babblers of the Protestant bully pulpit who brake forth wind about their position being only for men are actually "leaders" or "overseers" of the church, or "servants" like Phoebe (not Phebe).
And no Jim, "elders" are not the fraternal authoritative order of the church that you think they are. That nonsense should've remained with the Freemasons. You can thank the KJV's strategic deviations from the Greek at the expense of a perfectly simply "respect your elders" lesson for that cult-like belief, and just to support the independent fundamental notion that only men can occupy the fabricated position of "pastor."
Jim, it gets worse brother. Not only have the "pastors" been defrauded by their seminary schools for selling them a Master of Divinity programming to become non-existent position holders, they have all been set up to be fall guys. Only in the KJV can you see how. In the handful of verses in Jeremiah, where the KJV's translation think-tank inserted the word "pastors," and it doesn't look good for them from a prophetic standpoint.
So, Jim, it would behoove you to ask yourself if you are pushing a doctrine of men or one supported by the Holy Scriptures? I submit to you that the English Bible industry is the worst thing to happen to the Holy Scriptures, and because Satan didn't just give up after the death and resurrection of our Messiah.
Iinstead of focusing on me, the verification of my message might be more prudent. That said, the Most High judges, and how would He judge a man-made imposition barring half the world's population from preaching His message in what should be His churches, and while doing so in His name? Believe it or not, I'm trying to help both Jim and the cause, which should be Scriptural Truth.
“Im trying to help Jim….” Right. You sound far too condescending to actually be helping anyone. You convince no one. God’s roles in His body are consistent. You are the heretic in this case. And in the end you know because you are trying way too hard to make your case, albeit unsuccessfully.
I guess this is why Texas Baptist Men is now called Texas on Mission. we used to attend a denomination that allowed women as pastors, elders & deacons. we left it for an SBC church in 2015 when they announced total support for lgbtq+. Since then three congregations of the former denomination have chosen female pastors, two have lost their church buildings due to lack of attendance & donations & meet in small store fronts. The third has dwindle in size, only a few men attend. Once women take charge, the church declines.
I've never been SBC, but I am seventy three, and remember the "Battle for the Bible" days. I shouldn't be shocked. Apostasy is militant, profuse, and attacking from all directions. But I am a little shocked. And I am very sad.
I left the SBC well over 40 years ago. Even when I was attaining my M.Div degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary and could have received a major discount on my matriculation fees by being a member of an SBC church, I would not do it, and that was 1982 and 1983. It's really amazing what they've devolved into presently.

A bit judgemental, aren’t you?

No focus on you for a second
Just an observation
This is not unexpected but still very sad.
Having lost touch with everything else, why not this too?

Hi Jim
You have written lots of posts on various teachers, but never one on Paula White, why is that?
Is she such an obvious fraud that you would not bother, or is she just Trumps right hand spiritual guide and thus she is ok?
Actually, Martin, I have a draft of that working... thanks for the nudge!
look forward to it.
Actually I love the white flowing dress she wares, it looks like a white version of Mortischa Adams from the Adams family!
How many troubles could we avoid if we simply read our Bibles? It's disturbing and disheartening that so many who voted do not.
Amen!

They are full blown apostate. Only one biblical commandment applies "Come out from among them..."

They can’t see the Marxist ideology infecting their minds. And remember Marxism is just a newer label for satan.

The SBC “use” be Godly. But they have fallen by the way side. 💔
Maybe they’ll give an honorary board position to Gloria Steinem? And Margaret Sanger too.
