Actually, Crowley’s law of Thelema, as he specifically wrote is “Do what THOU wilt is the whole of the Law. Love is the law, love under will.” He capitalized THOU to differentiate it from an egoic will vs a Higher Will, grounded in spiritual principles. Crowley was a mystic and delved deeply into Eastern mysticism. Thelema is actually based on Tibetan compassion practices. Tibetan compassion practices seek to overthrow the ego.

Great series Jim! I came across this quote:

"It should be your care, therefore, and mine, to elevate the minds of our children and exalt their courage; to accelerate and animate their industry and activity; to excite in them an habitual contempt of meanness, abhorrence of injustice and inhumanity, and an ambition to excel in every capacity, faculty, and virtue. If we suffer their minds to grovel and creep in infancy, they will grovel all their lives." - John Adams

What we have in America is the practically total lack of the above.

How parents, and believers, deal with their kids growing up in today's world must be painful. Though the seeds of our dismay were sown decades ago, I remember a clear line between good and bad. A moral compass that nowadays spins wildly.

The Bible reveals the Holy Spirit, as restrainer, is purposely letting go as punishment which Romans 1:28 states “And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to an unfit mind...” That's what we now see, “unfit minds” running the schools, the corporations, the military and the government. Fortunately, He will deliver his children.

They are building a metaphorical Tower of Babel. We all know how that turned out.

"Once the restraint of the church is gone, the results will be catastrophic"... the whole point of Nietzchse saying "God is dead...". An atheist who understood that if there is no ultimate judgement, then mankind is free to be as violent and ugly as he can be and with women having committed 60 million million murders through abortion since Roe vs Wade was allowed, women are no longer peaceful either.

The modern "educated" American believes and praises these nilhist ideals but has no idea where they leads. They think it offers freedom from control and freedom to live however they want but they have no idea what comes next and will be the first to be slaughtered.

Mao killed millions of his followers because he knew they would be the first to revolt when they saw what communism actually looked like, so did Lenin and Stalin.

Yes, we refuse to learn from even the most recent history. There is a price to pay for that.
