AT RISK POPULATION: The Woke Mind Virus is most prevalent among persons under 50 who are members of Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z populations. College-educated white women are most at risk for severe infection.
SYMPTOMS: The disorder manifests as an intense, sometimes violent rejection of truth in favor of lies. Persons suffering from this disorder typically:
Cannot define what a woman is.
Have little, if any, sense of humanity.
Call good evil and evil good.
Behave irrationally rather than logically.
Suffer from delusions of self-righteousness and moral superiority.
Have feelings of entitlement, having a right not to have their feelings hurt.
See America as hopelessly stained with oppressive racial injustice and gender norms.
CAUSES:
The Woke Mind Virus is spread by long-term exposure to Critical Theory and Gender Studies in public schools, colleges, and universities. Additionally, continued exposure to toxic leftist mainstream media hastens the progression of the disease. Critical Theory is Marxist in its roots, seeking to divide people into two categories... oppressor or oppressed, while gender madness is outright rebellion against God.
LONG-TERM EFFECTS:
If symptoms do not resolve over time, WMV sufferers will develop a misinformed conscience... a spiritual sickness that dulls one’s sense of right and wrong. The Bible identifies those who have a misinformed conscience in 1 Timothy 4:1–2, referring to it as “seared,” much like a piece of meat held over a fire. If the conscience is “seared”, it becomes numb and indifferent to one’s fellow human beings.
WMV sufferers demand power for those they claim are powerless based on race or gender rather than their standing before God. Continued, long-term progression of this spiritual sickness will lead to God giving them over to their depraved minds. As a result, their thinking becomes futile; they cannot reason, and their hearts become dark. They claim to be wise but are actually fools.
One case in point occurred here in Texas a week or so ago. The State Capitol in Austin had to be cleared by police following displays of hate, foul language, and threats from State Senate Bill 14 protesters who were at the same time foolishly chanting “No Place for Hate”. SB14 would prohibit the administration of puberty blockers and hormone therapy to people under 18 years old. Only a depraved mind would conceive of threatening others trying to protect innocent children from the horrors of transitioning... yet they do.
(I’m proud to be a Texan today… The good news is that in the Texas House, a 98-42 majority supported the bill, which should soon be on Governor Abbott’s desk!)
TREATMENT:
There is no known medical or psychological treatment for Woke Mind Virus. It is entirely incompatible with Christian values and, left unchecked, will undermine the foundation of American society. WMV is accompanied by a feverish devotion to godless Critical Theory and LGBTQ+++ mindsets... which are both all about dismantling hidden “power structures” in society to achieve equity over equality.
Spiritual sickness is often closely related to physical and emotional illness. Just as physical infection weakens the physical body, spiritual sickness weakens the soul. People become spiritually sick because they choose to be separated from the Lord due to their rebellion against Him.
A healthy conscience is the God-given moral compass within each of us. Wokeism is the exact opposite of God’s will for us. Through His Word, He instructs us to do what is right and to behave with justice, kindness, and love toward all. Wokeism, at its core, is rebellion against God and hateful towards everyone who stands with Him.
Woke Mind Virus, if left untreated, will result in certain spiritual death.
But there is hope...
This hope will not be found in politics, government, or universities. True healing is found only through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. It is realized only by turning away from woke rebellion against God and submitting to His will for one’s life.
