Out of the park Jim. I think that is probably the verse most used to demonize Christians by purposefully ignoring the other side of the coin "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her."

David that's a great add on... he must also realize that like the Centurion in the Book of Matthew he too is a man under authority...

It would depend entirely on the type of agreement/partnership beforehand, that's my opinion and I am sticking to it! Also has the partnership changed? Marriage is a state of minds.

Submission should be mutual and the terms, well I think that the year is 2024 so there’s that.

What's to explain? What is a partnership? What is a state of mind? Partnerships are formed and dissolved all over the world all the time usually between two consenting adults and for myriad reasons. There is no mystery.

"Between two consenting adults and for myriad reasons?"

Holy matrimony is between a man and a woman. So, what are these "myriad reasons" you speak of?

Tattoos are not a good look on women, either. A visual sign of just how degenerated things have become.

Back when men were men and women were women and they were happy to assume those roles. If a man is strong, shows wisdom, and critical thinking skills I’m happy to support him but if he shows weakness is “inclusive” divisive employs “equality” I will mow him down like new tractor engine. I want a man to be strong because I’m very strong and I need that

It starts with respect knowing he has mine and the families best interest at heart

Than I will submit

Without the third strand of rope our 36 year marriage would never have made it this far. We wrote our own vows under the direction of a minister and 36 years later we continue to rely on each other AND the ONE who always was, is, and forever shall be! All honor praise and glory is truly HIS!

True, Fayanne! How can you be unequally yoked with or fight spiritual warfare with someone who has faulty judgement or is untrustworthy or is spiritually blind?

That is why the man must take the lead in spiritual matters while at the same time building up and edifying his wife.

My point is that some men are utterly incapable of leading anyplace except over a cliff. The woman submitting to a man who is like that is not going to somehow miraculously remedy his spiritual deficits. BOTH

men and women need to be extremely careful about whom they head into marriage with. God takes it very seriously and so should we. Divorce should not be an option

Sadly you are right again... huge numbers of men fail at this everyday. They have no Biblical worldview and don't care to.
