(4 Min) PODCAST: This is Now the Most Abused Verse in the Bible

You probably can guess where this is going...

TRANSCRIPT:

Abuse of Scripture is rampant these days, even here in Texas, which despite the fact that it is home to a lot of great churches, is home to such false and unbiblical teachers like Kenneth Copland, Robert Morris of Gateway, T.D. Jakes, and Joel Osteen. The first three are less than an hour from my house on a Sunday morning.

Bad enough, but now woke types worldwide (who falsely claim to be Christians) are taking things to a new, even more, disgusting level.

Pastor Andrew Isker writes, “There is now no verse in the evangelical world more abused than Galatians 3:28. This verse only recently knocked off the decades-long world champion; Matthew 7:1 ‘Judge not, lest ye be judged’.”

Sadly, the words of the Apostle Paul’s warning to the church of Galatia are now being used to deceive and confuse Christians who may not be entirely familiar with a lot of Scripture.

There is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither slave nor free; there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28 NKJV)

You probably can guess where this is going...

There are those who promote the idea that extreme feminism and transgenderism are acceptable in the eyes of God. They think that there is no male or female in Christ, and there is no distinction between men and women, despite the realities of biology and common sense. They are content to ignore the Biblical differences between men and women and their God-ordained roles in life.

Isker also writes, and I paraphrase... “These so-called Christians maintain there is nothing about human beings with different sets of genitalia that can’t be changed through the miracle of modern medicine. You might laugh, but there are many people who claim to be Christians who actually believe this with deathly sincerity.”

Again, paraphrasing Isker, “Galatians 3:28 is not a biblical defense of transgenderism, but rather about an important ancient legal distinction. In the ancient world, sons inherited, not sons and daughters, so Jews, Greeks, slaves, free, men, and women being made ‘sons’ means they all are heirs of the promises God made to Abraham with Jesus.”

Paul’s point in Galatians is that the Law which separated Jew from Gentile, men and women, free and slave, is no longer in operation with the redeeming grace afforded us through the work of Jesus Christ… God’s Word is meant to strengthen our faith, not to justify one’s sinful actions...

All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NSAB)

And this...

Do not add to his words, or He will rebuke you and prove you a liar. (Proverbs 30:6)
