Great post! I think we need more brave pastors calling out the depravity in society. It seems too many Christians are accepting this because they are hearing that accepting this is loving. The lies being fed to the public to keep butts in the pews and be a church that blends in with the world.

Eric Metaxas calls this out beautifully in his latest book, ‘A Letter to the American Church’.

Perhaps it is time to be less polite!!!

That reminds me of a funny analogy. Republicans, RHINOS, go into a boxing ring expecting Marquess of Queensberry rules. The leftist comes in with horse shoes in his gloves and kicks his opponent in the groin.

Excellent post Jim! And an excellent way to clear your head. I will start that again once we get some rain to ease the fire danger.

It seems that since Biden is occupying the White House, we really slid off the cliff. I believe this ridiculous conversation happened yesterday:

"Appearing at a hearing titled, “Examining the Harm to Patients from Abortion Restrictions and the Threat of a National Abortion Ban,” Dr. Bhavik Kumar was asked by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Georgia) if biological men can become pregnant. Dr. Kumar answered that “men” can become pregnant, “especially, trans men,” implying that even some who aren’t transgender could become pregnant."

Normal, decent people far outnumber the maniacs. I think a flaw of that is their training to be civil and polite even in the face of insanity. They are using that against us and winning.

I believe if people have not accepted Jesus into their hearts and lives, they will easily be manipulated into believing that evil is good. This is why I'm very confused when a nation of preachers choose to ignore the evil that is now overwhelming us, or worse agree with it.

I am an old man and I have difficulties doing anything more tricky than the cut/paste thing my supervisor taught me 30 years ago. This week I was overwhelmed with dozens of posts by good-hearted people on Substack that posted the same thoughts over and over. Jim's post, today, took a different angle and was inspiring to me (I loved his comment about the smell of gunpowder in the morning) and, like you, Frederick, I would like to post is as a "guest post" in my Substack. Can you explain how this is done? Thank you.

Charles - the method I used consisted of selecting the text from the post and pasting into a new post in your Substack. Will need to separately copy and paste any graphics. Also make other changes as hyperlinks, boldfacing, etc. Here is an example: https://frederickrsmith.substack.com/p/guess-who-passes-the-psychopath-test

Getting back to Kansas is going to require contrarianism of epic strength. How sad to understand that the entire planet is still held so hostage to Fascist ideology. There seems an almost constitutional aversion to understanding we are being played by master manipulators. It is a highly toxic mix for people to absorb.
